Green smoothie

This isn’t a particularly sweet drink, but its refreshing and filling and contains lots of yummy ingredients.

Green smoothie
Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients
  

  • ½ green apple
  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cucumber skin on or off
  • Small handful baby spinach leaves
  • Small handful mint leaves
  • Juice of ¼ lime or lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds optional
  • 200 mls water

Instructions
 

Method

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender/bullet and whizz until everything is smoothly blended and the consistency you like
  • Pour into long glasses (or thermos for travel) and enjoy 🙂

Top tips

  • You can replace the baby spinach with silver beet and/or if you like things a little sweeter add in your favourite fruits 
  • Increase or decrease the amount of water to vary the consistency of the smoothie
  • This smoothie can be made the night before ready to take to work the next day
